Does it Get Any Better than this?

I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting…and guess what I got today? A note from the government regarding my stimulus payment. How helpful is that? This is one of those moments when I’m very proud of my country…pause for you to pick up that sound bite and hold it against me when my husband runs for president…NOT.

Yes my form letter came today reminding me how I filed, how much I’d be getting, when I should be getting it and who to notify if I don’t get it. Wow…that would be so helpful and worth the millions of dollars that campaign cost if it had come before my tax rebate check that I received on this Saturday past…tick, tock, tick, tock…LOL.

That was very stimulating, wasn’t it?

    I got my form letter notification nearly a week after my rebate. Gee, thanks, US Government! I wouldn’t have otherwise noticed the $900 increase in my checking account balance!

    I saw the envelope from the IRS and thought, oh no, maybe I’m being audited or worse yet, they made a mistake and want the check back that I just deposited into the bank. LOL.

    Hmmm… at least you got it. :-D We haven’t seen notification of anything. I want a letter telling me I’m getting $$$.

    I hate mail, other then checks. Mail from the IRS is worst then a trip to the dentist.

    @ Jen, I was going by direct deposit dates and thought I’d have it the first week until I found out I was getting a check instead…UGH

    Yes dpereda, an envelope from the IRS always seems threatening. LOL
