Two Ton Shoe

Published by violetteb at 11:24 pm under Dancing Shoes Edit This

Hey, I found some more music for BigShoes. You know when I search the web looking for a good topic related to shoes but not having a thing to do with shoes and we end up with music. I know…if you’re aching to buy a pair of shoes there is no doubt a shoe ad available for you so have no fear.

I found the sound of Two Ton Shoe. Two Ton Shoe (TTS) has its roots in the mid 90’s. Yeah, really, can you believe that is over 10 years ago? So the band has roots, none of which I’m vaguely familiar with. Having passed math, back in the day anyway because I’m certainly not going to pass the math my daughter is learning now in school, I’m having a hard time trying to figure how the four guys morphed to Two Ton Shoe from five or more bands and projects. One or more of them was an overacheiver…musicians.

What do I like about them? Well I guess the bio isn’t too far off when it likens them to Kravitz, Steely Dan, Prince and others melded into Two Ton Shoe.

Well what you need to do now is check them out.

I find it very hard to believe that some of the things I love are the age they are - part of my problem is that apart from the odd grey hair I don’t really look as old as I must be! :) OK so I know Suzy Q was down the Devilgate Drive, and ABBA facing Waterloo in the 70s, but man, how can that be 30 years ago? How can singers I’ve loved for years suddenly be in the business for 40 years? I swear I must have been living in some kind of time warp! hahahaha
