She’s Back
Why does that sound like a line from The Shining? Got to love Jack Nicholson.
Yes I’m returning to writing after a short absence. If you only knew how much catching up I’d like to do in one weekend and have my life back in order by the time my husband returns home from a trip.
This is when I’m a single mom and can totally relate to the lives of the women out there who do it all. Yes single moms and dads, you wear big shoes.
My big shoes have been big enough to shuttle one daughter to three events at the end of school with a toddler and preschooler in tow on one rainy evening this week.
How big are your shoes on some days?
My big shoes mostly have to be big enough for me to survive as a college student, at the moment, because I can’t work and I’m living away from home for the first time–I’m on a semester abroad in England. But I’m also doing some writing for the student paper at my home school and the student paper here, and trying to keep up a couple blogs to go with my column for the home paper, and trying to deal with some asshattery going on with my family at home…I’m single, too, although I’m not sure whether that helps or not.
My shoes aren’t as big as they could be, but they feel pretty big right now. I’m almost 22 and I haven’t the faintest idea how to be an adult yet. >_<
